Amazon, Apple, Google, Yahoo! targeted in patent case

Questions:
Q1. Did the Eolas group made the right decision?
I think they made the right decision “if and only” they pass this lawsuit in Texas earlier for the benefit of the Eolas group not to be patended with other companies. If only they determine right away the acts and violations of other companies so that it will not be as big as the issue now than if only they prevented it before.

Q2. What do you think is the lesson that we could get from this case? I think we could get a moral lesson unto it, surely these companies are striving hard for them to accomplish excellent jobs in their work towards technology but the fact is that in order for companies be in “fair” state, each company must produce their own work and if they will have to have other companies software, well then they must have an agreement in a way that its technological competitions be in fair. The lesson of this is that a person must appreciate and not ruin the efforts of somebodyelse work, of how he/she strives to make it excellent so that if you have a work that is done excellently, well then vise versa they will also appreciate your effort on it, so that fairness will be met.

Q3.What was the right procedure that Amazon, Apple, Google and Yahoo!weren't able to follow and caused them this lawsuit?
I think the right procedure that they must have in order for them not to filed of such act is that, they weren’t able to comply the International applications as it says: International applications may be filed with the
patent offices of Contracting States of the Patent Cooperation
Treaty (PCT) or the International Bureau of the World
Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) by any resident or
national of a PCT Contracting State. A single international
patent application has the same effect as national applications
filed in each designated Contracting State of the PCT.
Although the major part of the patent application procedure is
carried out within the international phase, a patent can only be
granted by each designated State within the subsequent
national phase.

Crime expert backs calls for 'licence to compute'

Q1. Why is there a need for such licenses?Discuss the importance and necessity of it.
It is applicable before but when we talk about implementing it today, I don’t think it will benefit the society for the fact that in our generation today, people who has higher task in the economy, in the government and even in big businesses and institutions would have to hold on to computer technology without hassling in to some ‘license to compute’.

Q2. What do you think is the possible drawback of this in Australia?
People would probably be discourage to use the so called technology and would decrease their knowledge about it. And of course the IT literacy, as what you have said that it would deter their field especially to those in the rural areas and would also gives social discrimination as well as poor average.
Q3. Do you think this should also be applied here in the Philippines even if we are not a first world country? Why? Why not?

I would say that this “SHOULD NOT BE APPLIED” here in the Philippines because in facing the reality, Philippines is not of high and standard technology, yes we are rich of natural resources but not technology sources. That is why if the government will push through this license, well 100% our economy, our society as well as the average IQ of the Filipinos will totally decrease.
Q4. What is the point of Dr. Smith telling this?
I think he is pointing out to the main technology which is the Biometrics, if the manufacturers of both hardware and software are not knowledgeable enough to make such technology; nevertheless there is the possibility still for people to be defrauded.

Q5. What are the possible challenges in achieving Dr. Smith's suggestion if implemented worldwide? Is it possible?
Yes, everything is possible but the challenge is that, many transactions will be made, many laws will be implemented, dilemmas will appear, hindrances will block it, higher courts will have to make many decision, rally’s will exist and lives will be in trouble. We will see the few improvements for combating internet-related crime but little by little we will then see the huge damage not just towards our country but unto our lives.

What makes my Christmas perfect…???

What makes my Christmas perfect…???

"Its awesome to see a big tree inside our house, gifts underneath it, candy rappers scattered around, delicious food above the table, and the cold air of Christmas season"...

December 25 is not an ordinary day but it is an extraordinary day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. In this day we celebrate his goodness all year through and we offer gifts for thanksgiving and praises for his mighty works here on earth. Christians in the Philippines would proclaim that their Christmas celebration is the longest and merriest in the world. It begins formally on December 16 with attendance at the first of nine pre-dawn or early morning masses and continues on nonstop until the first Sunday of January, Feast of the Three Kings, the official end of the season, which they call it as Simbang Gabi.

Many families gather together with brilliant Christmas decors all around their houses, there house may be small or big, with food or without, with Christmas tree or none, it doesn’t matter as long as they could celebrate Christmas with joy in their hearts. Part of the tradition of the Filipino people as December 24th dawns, the last Mass of Simbang Gabi is attended; then preparation begins for Noche Buena, which is a family feast that takes place after midnight. Food is in abundance. Visitors and friends of the host family partake the food even though they are already bloated. Typical foods prepared in the Philippines during Christmas are: lechon (roasted pig), pancit, barbecue, rice, adobo, cakes, lumpia, etc.

For those who can afford to celebrate Christmas may really enjoy the spirit of the season, but what about the poor people without the spirit of Christmas? Some would disregard, and some would wait for Santa Claus. Nevertheless, Christmas is not just the time for celebration but a time for giving, helping those in need and also the time for love. In many ways and in many days, Christmas can be felt everyday, just through by sharing, helping and loving your neighbor Christmas may be felt through these acts. So certainly, Christmas may not only happen at December 25 but Christmas for me may happen everyday… that’s why in the Kingdom of the Father : "Christmas Happens Everyday"…

Tools aid distance students

Q1. How will this technology benefit the student?

The Camtasia Relay Software is a technology that captures the lectures and activities of a daily discussion in school, it allows students not to go to their institutions but rather by just downloading the current or previous lessons they have, they could just look and experience the interactivity unto their digital devices.

Q2. Considering our setting in the Philippines. Do you think all of the subjects could be applied with this technology? List atleast 3 subjects that you think should be applied with this technology and another 3 subjects that you think should never be implemented with it.Give reasons to each subject.

I think not all are applied with this technology, its because these 3 subjects needs an interaction between the students towards the teacher:

1.) Math - needs explanation of how the instructor come up with the answer, and also why the instructor come up to the answer.

2.) Science - the same, needs an interaction between the students and the instructor of how and why together with who when and where.

3.) English - the last one is also the same, it needs interaction because the students will have a difficult time modifying and correcting there work or answer if the answer are not in the correct grammar.

And these are also the 3 subjects that can be applied in this technology:
1.) Physical Education (P.E.) - theirs no need for an interaction between the students and the teacher but rather follow and execute, what the instructor does, the students will also do it in the same activity and execution as is.

2.) Philippines History - because theirs no need of such explanation, if their is a fact about the history of the Philippines then the answer to every question must be a fact.

3.) Filipino - If the life of Rizal is being viewed together with his works and ideals then it is all the fact and nothing else.

Q3. What is the possible drawback of this in the instructor and the student's side? Explain.
The drawback is that, the students will have a lot of difficulty finding answers to there questions, if they did not understand the lesson, they might as well ask the instructor but the drawback is that they cannot question the difficult part because its just a lesson downloaded.

Q4. List the name of some schools here in the Philippines that manipulate this technology.

Q5. How will this technology help our country's educational system and educating our countrymen?

It would somehow help the country's educational system and improve the learning insights of the countrymen, even the out of school youth could eventually learn something in this software, the very lesson of this perhaps would be the dependability of the students, we must be independent towards these technologies because we could somehow become indolent if sooner or later we'll be very dependent unto this technology but also we could consider this technology as a tool that aids the distance students all over the Philippines even outside our country.

My presidential bet in 2010

My presidential bet in 2010

"NoyPi, NoyNoy Para sa Pinoy"
Maybe there is something behind that yellow color or its just because of there bloodlines, heritage and leadership skills. If I would then vote for next years Presidential Election, I would rather vote straight to Benigno "NoyNoy" S. Aquino III. It is not because of his parents' profile but rather his capacity to lead this country towards democracy. If you’re wise enough to vote for the best candidate, you’ve got to based in his educational background, his lighter side and most of all his affiliation and position in the political world. There you will identify his stand as a President of the Philippines. And If the Philippines is under his leadership for the next four years... I would say this country will somehow prosper and develop into becoming a 1st world country, our pesos will overtake dollars and eventually increase our currency state. NoyNoy is an AB Economics graduate in Ateneo de Manila University, in this case I think he can handle our currency state better and improve the production and distribution of our natural resources. But I know as human as we are, I would say that we must not be dependent directly unto the candidates profile but rather trust and depend unto his results in his administration. Because its not just me who can vote straight for the best and deserving candidate but millions and even billions all over the Philippines.
